Orlando's first gay and lesbian Center opened in September of 1987 at 1036 N Mills Avenue. It's first president was Bill Walton and its first Executive Director was John Brown. Instrumental in the formation of the group was Scott Alles, Larry Nicastro, and Chris Alexander.
