Palace Club Moves to Humphreys Street

The Palace Club moved to just the other side of the fence of the Naval Training Center in 1976. With only a dirt road and chain link fence between the bar and the base, opportunities were ripe for quick and easy fraternization between bar clients and and on-base military men.
For a while, this bar became known as the Night Owl. We are not sure when this happened.
The owner was Dick Barnett. The property was owned by Bill Miller.
The Palace Club was operated as a bottle club (you brought your own liquor and paid only for the mixers). It moved to the 3400 Complex in the late seventies.
